After Opening With an Inefficient System, Hotel Artena Switched to Rentlio Pro

Before Rentlio Pro, we used a system that was very complicated and lacked a Channel Manager, so we had to manually enter all reservations from OTA channels as well as guest details during check-in. About the Hotel

In April 2025, Hotel Artena, a three-star property, opened its doors in Pula, offering guests comfortable accommodation with private parking just 10 minutes from the famous Arena. The hotel features 21 units in total, 18 rooms and 3 apartments, along with the convenience of on-site parking. A special highlight is that Hotel Artena is pet-friendly, allowing guests to enjoy their stay with their four-legged companions.

Challenge

Before switching to Rentlio Pro, front desk manager Bruno Tirić explained that the hotel was using a system that was overly complicated and confusing, and most importantly lacked a Channel Manager. This meant that every reservation received through OTA channels like Booking.com had to be manually entered into the system. The same was true for guest details during check-in and for reporting to eVisitor, which consumed a lot of time and left room for errors.

Solution

On the recommendation of peers in the industry, the hotel decided to implement Rentlio Pro. A key advantage was that it is a local solution, meaning that as newcomers to the hospitality sector they could rely on fast, friendly, and always-available customer support whenever questions or uncertainties arose.

Results

The implementation of Rentlio Pro delivered immediate and tangible benefits for Hotel Artena from day one. The biggest improvement was the fully automated reservation synchronization. All bookings from OTA channels such as Expedia, Booking.com or HotelBeds are now automatically updated in the system, saving reception staff hours of work and eliminating the risk of overbookings.

Another standout feature is the fast check-in process with precise document scanning, completed in about 10 seconds, giving staff more time to interact with guests.

The dashboard is clear and intuitive, with all essential information such as payment notes and room status displayed on a single screen. In addition, the option to split bills into folios simplifies payments and enables easy upselling of additional services, especially to business travelers.

Rentlio Pro also plays a major role in smart strategic planning. Through Rentlio BI, the hotel can easily generate detailed reports, including guest demographic profiles, which helps them fine-tune marketing campaigns, pricing, and offers.

Staff onboarding was quick and straightforward. As the hotel highlights, the free online onboarding was enough for the team to master most system functionalities within just a week.

Another valuable tool is the Offers feature, which allows them to send guests a proposal with all requested details, and with a single click convert it into a confirmed reservation once accepted.

Although the Rentlio Booking Engine has not been activated yet, the hotel plans to implement it soon to boost direct reservations and revenue.

For a new hotel like Artena, aiming to stand out from the very beginning through exceptional service, it was crucial to find a system capable of supporting all operations.
