About the Hotel

Manda Heritage Hotel is situated in a historic building from the 1920s in the heart of Zagreb, offering an authentic urban experience in 26 modernly equipped accommodations. The hotel employs 11 staff members and hosts 60 to 70 guests at peak season. With its prime location and exceptional service, it welcomes visitors from around the world.

Challenge

Based on his previous positive experience with the Rentlio Pro platform in the short-term rental sector, Domagoj knew he would implement Rentlio in the newly opened hotel as well. Therefore, the usual and expected challenges in selecting a PMS system were not an issue. However, the timing of the hotel's opening, just a few months before the global pandemic and the devastating earthquake that struck Zagreb in March 2020 posed a significant challenge.

Solution

Domagoj has followed Rentlio's journey from the very beginning, and the quality of the platform has been the key reason he has used Rentlio for 7 years, both for his 30 apartments in downtown Zagreb and now in the Manda Heritage Hotel.

"Honestly, we didn't even consider other options," says Domagoj. Without a Channel Manager, no one with more than one unit can work efficiently today. “If you have one to three units, you might still manage to enter everything manually, but a larger number of units and serious business is impossible without a quality Channel Manager like Rentlio’s,” emphasizes Domagoj.

Domagoj also highlights the ability to issue invoices directly from the calendar, manage the cash register to track cash receipts and expenses systematically, and the option of invoice fiscalization directly from Rentlio. These all contribute to simplifying daily financial tasks. For him as a co-owner, the functionality of statistics and reports that clearly display all key data, accessible with just a few clicks, is crucial for successful business operations and further growth and development planning of the hotel.

Domagoj utilizes the Housekeeping option in both the hotel and private apartments. The Housekeeping functionality significantly improves communication and coordination among the cleaning and maintenance teams. With this feature, everyone involved can easily track the status of the accommodation units, ensuring they are always ready for new guests.

One of the greatest advantages of Rentlio, according to Domagoj, is the incredibly fast check-in process. Quick registration on eVisitor (a centralised system whose primary purpose is to register guests to the Croatian Tourist Board) in just a few seconds saves a huge amount of time for reception staff, allowing them to focus more on the guest.
